Shawn Johnson or Nastia Liukin? The Ultimate Teenage Boy Debate.

So who have teenage boys been casting their votes around and throwing their support around? No, not Barack Obama and definitely not John McCain. Try Olympic Gold-Medalist gymnasts, Shawn Johnson and Nastia Liukin. The biggest debate ever has been repeated over and over again when a group of boys see each other in the hallway, at the mall, or at someone's house; "Who's better, Shawn Johnson or Nastia Liukin?".
Ever since the Beijing Olympics have ended I've participated in so many Nastia and Shawn debates, it's ridiculous! Although Shawn Johnson is an Obama supporter, I've been a Nastia fanboy because of her complete dominance in the olympics, gold medals win me over...

The debate is finally starting to lose its popularity and its steam, so I decided to get everyone's final word on the epic debate. I polled just about every dude in all my classes, asked some people on facebook, sent out mass text messages (reply with 2 for Shawn, 1 for Nastia),set up a poll at RootZoo, and set up a thread on Yahoo! Answers. So after 1 day polling, here are the results:

You may ask, well, what do you mean by better? I replied with, whatever you want to judge them on, looks, skills, or both. Here are some of the comments that people had go with their vote. As you can see, there is really still no general consensus, so the debate rages on...

Shawn Johnson:
"Her left eyebrow. Have you seen it? It's amazing" -Jeff

"I would say that Liukin has the edge on floor where her elegance is shown to great effect whilst Johnson looks the better on beam or vault. Looks don't come into it for those who like the sport rather than the athlete. However as an old gymnastic judge I have to admit that we are often swayed by a performer who looks like they are having a good time whilst performing so in that regard Johnson would have the edge" -Skate

Nastia Liukin:

"NASTIA IS LIKE GODDESS" in an abnormally louder tone..-Josh

"Nastia is one of the very few gymnasts that still incorporate dance movements into her routines. Everything nowadays is just all about tricks and the tumbling but Nastia manages to bring a lost artistry back into the sport. Plus, the one thing Nastia has that Shawn doesn't (excluding that all-around gold) is her signature beam move. One of the most graceful moves of beam I've seen in a long time."- K-Tang

Wait..you forgot someone...
I came across a few stubborn voters who refused to consider Shawn Johnson and Nastia instead opting for Alicia Sacramone, who had a total of four loyal fans...you can be the judge..
