The Associated Press located a report on the morning of August 14, 2008 that indicated in November 2007 Chinese gymnast He Kexin was 13 years of age. Later that same afternoon that same Xinhua Chinese news agency report was no longer accessible.

With the 2008 Beijing Olympic games just over a month away, the U.S. is desperately trying to lock down their gymnastics team roster. Just last week Shawn Johnson of Iowa and Nastia Liukin of Texas solidified their spots on the Women's Gymnastics Team at the team trials in Pennsylvania.
