Five members of the Champions Gymnastics Center boys team participated in a meet at the World Olympic Gymnastics Academy in Frisco, Texas last weekend.

Two elite gymnasts who starred for their respective North Shore high school teams are back on the scene as head coaches this winter. Vivien Mattei had been at the Beverly High helm for 20 years before retiring and handing the reigns over to her former captain, Lauryn Ginsburg.

Freshman Kyra Visnick finished in first place in three events, as well as the all-around competition, as the Newton South girls gymnastics team knocked off defending Dual County League co-champion Westford Academy yesterday at South High.

The New England Gymnastics Training Center of Hudson competed in the Winter States on Dec. 6 in Hampstead. There were over 100 gymnast that competed in the 3 different sessions. Many gymnast placed in the top 10 for their levels and received medals and ribbons for placing in the top 5 for each event.
