Today: Remembering Whitney, Girls and Reality TV, Stars' Awkward Photos

Both men and women compete in the rowing events at the Olympic games. Both sexes also race the same length of 2,000 meters. There are a limited number of spaces, so qualification events are held to determine who competes at the games. The main qualification comes from the previous year's World Rowing Championships. Each national Olympic Committee can onyl have one boat per event. The events are competed in by individuals, pairs and groups.

Lightweight Men: coxless four, double sculls
Women: quad sculls, double sculls, single sculls, eigh, cosless pair
