Tennis at the Olympics is competed in by both men and women as individual and doubles events. A National Olympic Committee can enter up to six men and six women, with a maximum of four entries in the individual events and two pairs in the doubles events. Athletes are allowed to compete in both singles and doubles events.

The tennis competition is a single elimination tournament, the two losers in the semifinal round will compete for the bronze medal.
