Something Phishy About Bank's Not Using 2FA from HomeATM Research shows that most online banking sites have inbuilt flaws which could potentially put valuable customer data into the wrong hands. Here's a compilation of the latest phishing attacks designed to "lure" online banking customers into providing their username and password to fraudsters.  Of course, if banks would stop using username and password log-in, and graduate to a more secure, two factor authentication...one that requires users to swipe their bank issued card, and enter their bank issued PIN, (replicate what they do at an ATM machine) then they would, at the same time,  eliminate phishing altogether.  With HomeATM's PCI 2.0 Certified Terminal and PIN Entry Device, Internet banking has never been more secure. Banks can enhance their users online experience and security with strong two-factor ... Read Full Story

If online banks switched from username password (typing) to swiping they would eliminate phishing entirely. If you required your online bank enrollees to swipe their card, they prevent would be hackers from swiping their card information. Instead, it's your customers who would be doing the swiping. (of their card data located on the magnetic stripe ) And because the data is "instantaneously encrypted INSIDE" our PCI 2.0 Certified SafeTPIN the data is NEVER in the clear. That means that even if your customers  fell for a phishing attack, hook, line and sinker, the fraudsters wouldn't consider them a keeper...not the type. So don't type...swipe.  ... Read Full Story
