YouTube plans to offer video via mobile phones. --- Linked from http://www.dnaindia.com/report.asp?NewsID=1066678 --- Video-sharing website YouTube announced on Tuesday its foray into distributing video clips on mobile telephones through a tie-up with Verizon Wireless. YouTube said that from early December, a selection of its most popular videos would become available to US subscribers of Verizon Wireless's premium "V CAST" service. "With the largest community for online video entertainment, YouTube's move into the mobile space will enable a new audience of mobile users to enjoy entertaining videos virtually whenever and now wherever they want," it said. There’s a good article of the potential of YouTube in Wired this month. From that article, they mention this video (below). it’s a great segment of a novice sportscaster giving us the news, sort of. He’s nervous, awkward and totally hilarious. The best part is in the middle of his debacle he pulls out a “boom goes the dynamite!” phrase completely out of nowhere. I also love about 45 seconds in, when he’s completely bombing you can see him mouth “i’m so sorry” to the people off camera. Call me an ass, but it’s frickin’ great. Read Full Story
