The Chicago Bears waived tackle Orlando Pace after one season in which the 34-year-old played little like the All-Pro he once was with St. Louis. The Bears also waived tight end Fontel Mines and guard Tyler Reed on Monday. Chicago signed Pace last season as a free agent to help patch up a faulty offensive line, but the fading star didn't provide much help. The Bears continue to look for ways to upgrade their O-line, as today they had a talk with former Rams tackle Orlando Pace. NFL.com’s Steve Wyche reported of the meeting today. Pace has already had a meeting with the Ravens, but left the team without a contract. The release of Pace saved the Rams $6 mil in cap space.
