Naruto Shippuden Episode 49 - Important Person

So, if this episode is notable for anything, it would be the mini filler with Kabuto being freakishly afraid of bees. Japanese killer hornets, to be precise. I did a quick Wikipedia search on these little critters, 'cause, you know, how scary can bees...HOLY CRAP THESE ARE THE SCARIEST MOTHERF******* INSECTS YOU WILL EVER SEE IN YOU ENTIRE F******* LIFE!111! No joke, I'm kind of scared of insects, but bees usually don't bother me; but these bees are like, the size of your hand. They're Godzilla bees! King Kong Bees! Flippin' Cloverfield bees! I nearly had a heart attack at the first pic on Wikipedia, and I swear the next time I see a bee, even if it's a harmless little bumblebee, I'm gonna pull out my nonexistent AK-47 and waste the little bugger. Just in case. Those bees almost made me want to never step foot in Japan.

Almost.
Anyway, apart from the bees of doom, this was actually a pretty entertaining episode. Instead of the usual 20 minutes of talking and walking, there was a pretty nicely animated fight scene. As the episode began, Kabuto interrupted the little meeting between Yamato, Naruto, Sakura, and Sai, apparently in order to take Sai back. As the four of them fought, a wild punch from Sakura accidentally upset a nest of Japanese horrible, nasty, frightening nightmare-inducing Killer Hornets, which freaked out Kabuto enough to make him back out of the fight and reassess the situation. He decided that fighting the three of them gave him a disadvantage, so he tried to leave; however, he made the mistake of taunting Naruto, saying that Sasuke was not the person he used to be. Surprisingly enough, it was Sai who responded to this by pinning Kabuto to the ground and giving him a little lecture.
Yamato ties Kabuto up, Sai tells Naruto that he wants to find out what bonds really are, and the group makes their way into Orochimaru's lair, after Kabuto reveals Sasuke's whereabouts. Now we are back to the beginning scene of the first Shippuden episode, with the foursome running around the mazelike chambers looking for Sasuke. They split into two groups, Sakura with Yamto and Naruto with Sai. As Naruto and Sakura run through the halls, they have major flashbacks to important moments with Sasuke, which strengthen their resolve to bring him back. The chase through the labyrinth is getting more and more suspenseful, and as the episode ends they still have not found Sasuke. Are they too late? Has Sasuke succumbed to the Killer Bees?!? We'll find out next episode!
