A Failed George Bush Foreign Policy: Six years later Osama Bin Laden Still Alive/Free Inflicting Havoc; Pakistan’s Future in Shambles:
By Marc Chamot

While Theodore Roosevelt’s “Speak Softly and Carry a Big Stick” approach could have worked for us in our war against Osama Bin Laden and terrorism, in contrast to George Bush’s “Speak Loudly and Carry a Hand Grenade” approach which FAILED miserably against this war mainly in Pakistan and left that little nation in chaos and turmoil.

It’s been over six years that America was attacked September 11, 2001 by terrorists that killed over three thousands Americans. It was one of our darkest periods in our history.

While conservatives like to focus on former president Bill Clinton about his failure to capture Osama Bin Laden during his administration these same conservatives forget that George Bush’s failure is far worse.

Our mission in Afghanistan was never finished and the capture of OBL was never thoroughly done and properly completed, then we embarked on another war in Iraq while letting our missions in Afghanistan be half done and incomplete.

It doesn’t take a genius to realize that with OBL hiding out in desolate lawless mountain regions of Pakistan would sooner or later disestablish the Pakisatni government, the grand prize for Bin Laden and the Taliban are Pakistani’s nuclear weapons if they can succeed in gaining control of that government.

An opportunity missed:
Osama bin Laden and his inner circle are believed to be hiding in lawless northwest Pakistan along the border with Afghanistan.
At the time after September 11, 2001 we had Pakistani leader Pervez Musharraf eating out of our hands and we could have had a JOINT mass American-Pakistani military covert operations in the lawless city of Quetta and the Kashmir area of Pakistan where Bin Leden is suspected of hiding to root him out and KILL him.

After the recent assassination of Benazir Bhutto; it showed how far ahead and dangerous Al-Qaida is in Pakistan. George Bush and his cronies may have just made a disastrous political blunder that may not only affect the future of Pakistan but may bring more unwanted chaos towards world events and America.

We all know that you cannot reason with insanely minded religious zealots that are bent in killing you. Take Israel’s long bouts with Muslim religious extremists as a lesson.

George Bush has completely failed with his FOCUS on the war on terrorism against Al-Qaida in Pakistan what’s even scarier for America and Americans is that we do not have any presidential candidates that can strongly and thoroughly clean up the mess that George Bush and cronies have created especially among Democratic ranks and some Republicans like Ron Paul. We got lame brained Democratic and Republican candidates that have no foreign policy knowledge or solutions to solve this problem. While maybe one in John McCain but he is terrible and is horrible in domestic issues and Barack Obama and Mike Huckabee have shown their true ignorance in foreign policy.

The boneheaded idea of warring against Saddam Hussein and Iraq before our mission in Afghanistan and Bin Laden’s Al_Qaida was completed has left an open wound/void that could be irreversible to mend. Pervez Musharraf is living and leading his country on borrowed time. It’s all up to his army whether they still want him to lead in the near future.

According to CNN’s “Terror Central” documentary, it’s no secret that the lower echelon of Musharraf’s army is infiltrated and infested by Al-Qaida sympathizers and operatives. Some are even as high ranked as Majors of the army.

Also according to most recent “Terror Central” CNN news documentary most of the Pakistani people and citizens are sympathetic towards Bin Laden and his Al-Qaida and that is why no one has ever put forth the effort to turn in Osama Bin Laden for the 25 Million dollar prize.

One thing for sure that President George Bush has shown America for the past seven years is that the presidency, the executive branch of our government is just too powerful for one lame bird brained man to have such power. After George Bush experience in rebuffing bills passed by congress and laws appropriated by congress, failure to enforce our laws among others congress and the supreme court need to revisit this branch of government and balance the power even more.

Terror 'destroying' Afghanistan, Pakistan: Musharraf
By Marc Carnegie Wed Dec 26, 12:28 PM ET
Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf and Afghan leader Hamid Karzai on Wednesday pledged better cooperation in fighting terrorism, which Musharraf said was "destroying both our countries."

In a brief news conference after their first meeting in four months, they said their talks had been helpful in finding ways to rein in the Al-Qaeda and Taliban militants who have flourished along their mutual border.

Both men have accused each other in the past of not doing enough to stop Islamic militants, particularly in the rugged tribal border region that has been in the international spotlight since the September 11 attacks on the US.

But in an apparently warm atmosphere before Musharraf was to host a state dinner for Karzai, he underlined the need for intelligence cooperation with Afghanistan to fight the militant threat.

He said the neighbours had to stop "this menace of extremism and terrorism which is destroying both our countries" and called on their respective intelligence agencies to work hand-in-hand.
