Last year, Freire won Stage 2.  Not this time.  2007's stage 2 goes to Steegmans. Gert Steegmans won the second stage, followed by his teammate and captain Tom Boonen in second Quickstep hammered today! MADRID : Spain’s three-time world champion Oscar Freire of Rabobank won the 11th stage of the Tour of Spain on Wednesday, a 178 km ride from Calahorra to Burgos, as Egoi Martinez of Euskaltel retained the overall lead.
