Celebrating Birthdays

There is something about a birthday celebration. The family, the friends, the cake!

Our family is pretty close and we love a goo reason to celebrate. This month we had 4 birthdays to celebrate (not counting Christmas). Of those, we had three parties. For us that just means good times. Tonight was the last until February when we will start up the party engine again.

This last one of the year belongs to my niece. We had a great time of it as we took our boys to Target where they promptly decided what they were going to get for her for a present: Cereal. Now our boys are 3 1/2 so this is a big thing. They also decided that she needed some plastic bowls to eat it with, a syrup dispenser, a small plastic cup and of course the Captain Crunch cereal - both name brand and generic varieties.

Luckily, she had a blast opening the gift. Now that she is 25 I think that she appreciated their thoughtfulness. I dont think the result would have been the same if she was 10 or 11.
