What is a Good Exercise Program I Can Use To Regain My Youth And Vigor?
A reader ask, "What type of exercises or exercise programs can I use to make me become more supple and move more freely like I used to when I was younger?"
That's a great question and while there is probably no exercise regime that will offer you a complete solution, there ARE several ways you can increase flexibility and become more supple.
Exercise that strengthen your entire body while increasing your flexibility probably best fit the bill. The most obvious choice here is a good yoga program. Stretching exercises are also beneficial to allowing you to move about like you used to. Another area you may want to add to your workouts is Plyometrics.
Plyometrics are explosive, athletic movements that help your co-ordination and athletic ability. All of this depends on your overall health. Make certain that before you embark upon any exercise program - or add to your current workouts - that you consult your doctor.
One excellent program that contains plyometrics, yoga, stretching and much, much more is the P90x Extreme Home Fitness with Tony Horton - Set of 13 Dvds
. One note of caution. When they say extreme...they mean it! Make sure you're ready for these often one hour plus workouts.
