She worked steadily in film and television between the years of 1960 and 1999, up until the time of her death in Encino, California on October 18, 1999. She found a niche in television movies and, towards the end of her life, doing voiceover work in projects for Disney. Though a successful actress, she is very often remembered for her guest starring role as Anya, a shapeshifting mother-figure, on the television show Star Trek: The Next Generation.
