A community portal about Paganism with blogs, videos, and photos. According to Wikipedia.org: Paganism is a term which, from a western perspective, has come to connote a broad set of spiritual or religious beliefs and practices of natural or polytheistic religions. The term can be defined broadly, to encompass many or most of the faith traditions outside the Abrahamic monotheistic group of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. This group may include the Dharmic religions, which may be interpreted to incorporate pagan characteristics like nature-worship, polytheism and reverence of female deities, and are thus diametrically opposite to the Abrahamic faiths. "Pagan" is the usual translation of the Islamic term mushrik, which refers to'one who worships something other than The God of Abraham'. Ethnologists avoid the term "paganism," with its uncertain and varied meanings, in referring to traditional or historic faiths, preferring more precise categories such as shamanism, polytheism or animism.

While many people (including many Christians) defend this holiday as a night of childlike fun, the reality is that there is more animal sacrifice and even more human sacrifice on... Read Full Story

Originally posted March 1st 2009 By Juno Mane The Wiccan alphabet is a script used in Wicca today which has a history that stretches back hundreds of years. It was first recorded in a book published in 1518 called the Polygraphia written by Johannes Trithemius which drew on now long lost hand written originals. In this book he attributed what we now call the Wiccan alphabet to Honorius of Thebes which is why it is sometimes called the Theban alphabet or the runes of Honorius. However it... Read Full Story

A number of holidays are celebrated by pagans, those who do not believe in Christ. Most of these holidays are associated with seasons and cycles of nature and are sometimes referred to as the Wheel of the Year. A person may practice any form of paganism and that determines which holidays they celebrate throughout the year.
People belonging to the Wiccan religion are the most popular of the pagans in the US. Sabbat, the cycle of life between the God and the Goddess is... Read Full Story

Witchcraft is very much of the present, a 21st century religion or philosophy or... Read Full Story
