Congratulations to Kirsten Vangsness of Criminal Minds fame, for her wedding has been announced.

News has arrived, that Kirsten Vangsness is all set to marry her long time girl friend, the gorgeous, Melanie Goldstein this very spring. Goldstein works as an assistant editor on TV show 24.

The inevitable is about to happen. The duo has been seeing each other for two and a half year now.

Kirsten told People, “I never thought I would want to do it. Then when you meet the person, you’re like, ‘I want to marry you. I don’t care if there’s a law against it!
I hate that there are laws against marriage - it seems ridiculous to me.”

It is said, Melaine was the one who took the initiative to propose the soon to be bride in November last year but the news was kept discreet until last month, when Kirsten, revealed the news to her co - stars on Criminal Minds, who were, of course, very happy for her.

So, what about the laws and the wedding arrangement??? At present, marriage between same sex is only allowed in two states in U.S., one being Massachusetts and other Connecticut. Here, read what Kirsten has to say.

“We’re going to get married in Texas because her parents have this great place there, and since it’s not official anywhere until things change - which I have total confidence that they will - we’re going to do it there just to completely thumb our nose at the government………………………… Paget [Brewster] sent me her form that proves she can officiate a wedding, and Shemar [Moore] asks me a lot of wedding questions that I don’t even have answers to yet, like ‘What are you going to wear?’ and ‘What’s it going to be like?’
Well, we don’t know who we’re inviting yet, but I’m making my dance play list right now …….We’re a little backwards!”

On getting married and reactions to being committed, this is what she had to say,

“Fiancée is a very fun word to say, because I never thought I would have a fiancée or be a fiancée. Sometimes when I would introduce myself and say, ‘This is my girlfriend Melanie,’ it wasn’t always clear what I meant. Now I get to say, ‘This is my fiancée Melanie.’”
