You Asked – Seal Acrylic Painting?

Today’s question comes from Pat :

Pat Writes:

“When I paint with acrylics on canvas should I seal it with anything when I finished. Is there more than one choice? What should drive my decision?”

Do you have any information that might help Pat?  Please leave your response in the comments box below.

YES! I always seal all of my paintings, even acrylics!
Depends on the look you want. If you want a matte finish, then get the satin varnish. If you want high gloss, it will add a lot of shine to your painting. I personally like the high gloss as it looks more finished and is difficult to tell if the painting is acrylic or oil with a glossy finish. (makes it richer looking)
