SAN JOSE, Calif. -- When undefeated Strikeforce middleweight champion Cung Le (6-0) defeated MMA legend Frank Shamrock (23-9-2) earlier this year, the Vietnamese San Shou stylist's popularity was at an all-time high. It just barely missed the cut for our Other Summer Movies discussion, but Pandorum looks like some creepy science fiction along the lines of the original Alien . I'm not comparing its quality to Alien , because that would be foolish, especially without seeing Pandorum , but that's what the trailer reminded me of most. I say that because in the wake of Star Wars , space movies became even bigger and noisier than they were before, and then Alien came along and it was claustrophobic, dark, and ominous.
