Every day for the past couple weeks I have had to come up with creative answers to this question. Then finally the town put out their Christmas decorations and poof "Yes, Evie it is Christmas time!" " Whoo Hoo !" Was the response I received . She is so excited and can't wait to put up our tree. Which I usually do Thanksgiving weekend, but we are out of town for the weekend so it will have to wait until next weekend. However, her excitement is contagious. No one can wait to put up the tree, and even worse no one can wait for ... Read Full Story

It is Thanksgiving again, and I thought what better to do today than talk about what I am thankful for. I am thankful for my children ! Thank God they are healthy happy and the greatest gifts I have ever received . I am truly blessed. He works hard and never gives up! I am the luckiest woman alive to have him. I am thankful for my family ... Read Full Story

When my daughter’s good, she’s really good; when she’s being naughty, it’s all shades of frustrating, dangerous and well, loud. But more times than not, she casts off the terrible twos’ (or threes, if we’re being honest) antics for a much more responsible and respectful soul. When I saw this starting to happen, when she had developed enough psychologically that she stopped being me-centered and began to think of how her actions could affect change in the people around her, I started to encourage that. I’ve also always allowed her to help me in some way - children are notorious for wanting to help ... Read Full Story
