This card was made using oil pastels applied on white cardstock and rubbed in by hand to obtain the misty look. This was then overstamped with Black Stazon with a shell stamp and three words. A spotty stamp using Versamark was stamped randomly over the edges of the card and gold embossing powder was then applied and was heat embossed this was matted over pale blue cardstock. The second mat was done using blue dye ink and the same shell stamp and was finished with a bunch of fibres. The base card was sponged with denim Adirondack ink. The left mat applied with double ... conan Growing up I read nothing but comic books . I didn’t understand books like novels; I just didn’t understand why someone would want a book that had no pictures. My take was that - you only read such books because you had to - like in school - a math book or something. There is no more enjoyable activity for a portrait artist than the art of pastel portraiture. An artist who uses pastels enjoys both worlds - the world of dry media and the world of wet media.
