32 years later, Che and Eva are reunited… and it feels so good. Mandy and Patti are together again, and the result is every musical theatre geek’s wet dream. With her big, brassy belt and his otherworldly, crazy-town falsetto — not to mention their incredibly over-the-top personalities — An Evening with Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin guarantees a good time. Whether you’re a Sondheim snob, Great American Songbook aficionado or a Gleek, this is the show for you. It’s hard to believe this...Read Full Story

Patti LuPone & Mandy Patinkin's Broadway Show

By Mark on  From runningwithbluesponge.com
We saw Patti and Mandy on Broadway last night, and I have to say we were a little disappointed. It didn't knock my socks off like I was hoping. The highlight of course was the two songs they did from Evita. Mandy did "What a Circus," which turned out to be the best performance of the night. He did an amazing job. Next, Patti's "Don't Cry for Me Argentina" was a bit anti-climatic. It was just OK. Most of the show was scenes from other Broadway shows, some mildly familiar, some very obscure...Read Full Story

"Tis the season! I LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR! I don't know about you but I'm a sucker for this time of year! I love decorating our house, I love the parties, I love the excitement that pervades everything around us. A friend of mine stated on FACEBOOK last week that he hated Christmas songs! Bah, humbug! As a child of the sixties, I grew up on the Christmas specials of Bing Crosby, Andy Williams, Doris Day's Christmas episodes of her TV shows. I often think what a shame that so many of our...Read Full Story

By Bob Andelman on  From mrmedia.com
Patti Lupone in "Evita," image via Wikipedia By BOB ANDELMAN (March 3, 2009) I could spend the next hour talking about Patti Lupone’s incredible history on the Broadway musical stage.
