Paul McCartney Not so Eco-Friendly

Why buy a hybrid vehicle if you're just going to have it flown from Japan to Britain? That would be a great question to ask Paul McCartney.

McCartney, an avid and outspoken advocate for environmental and animal rights issues, is being criticized for having a $158,000 Lexus LS 600h, flown from Japan to Britain, instead of shipped. The new Lexus is one of the company's "green" vehicles, which relies on an electric motor at low speeds.

Flying the car pretty much cancels out any positive impact it would've had on the enviornment. In fact, McCartney probably should've just bought a massive truck, and then driven it around the world once, while eating a hamburger, smoking a cigarette and wearing a leather jacket and crocodile skin boots. His carbon footprint still would've been smaller then it is now.

In his defense, the car was a gift, and it is still unknown whether or not McCartney new how it was being delievered, or had any say in the matter. Sure, we all know Sir Paul McCartney just wanted his shiny new car in his driveway, and fast.
