It may be just a regular old OTA, but already Jags coach Jack Del Rio is upset with one of his players. That player is two-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle John Henderson, who pulled himself out of drills Monday saying that he has a shoulder injury.
From the sounds of it, Del Rio isn’t exactly buying the injury that Henderson says he has.
“Yeah, it’s disappointing to see him pull himself out quite frankly,” Del Rio said Tuesday. “What he does, that’s up to him. But we have a team out here... Read Full Story

When you look at the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Detroit Lions, can you really put a gauge on what team is in worse shape right now? Of course the 0-8 Lions look like the worse team, but how about the Jags, who last week at one point were down 18 to the Bengals, and after coming back to get within two, couldn’t tie the game in the last minute on a two-point conversion and lost 21-19 to a team that had not won all... Following Sunday’s 30-12 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, we were visited by Fred Taylor on our post-game coverage.
We couldn’t have asked for anything better.
Taylor was candid (as always) in his review of the Jaguars current situation.
“We’re a bad team. We have good players, we’re just not a good team,” Taylor said. “[Jack Del Rio] has a great message. In so many ways I agree with him. Obviously its not connecting.”
That’s a conclusion that Del Rio came to as well. Sometimes, the... Read Full Story

There’s weeks when the Jacksonville Jaguars show glimpses of why they are a team to watch in the AFC South; as of late, they haven’t shown much as they are in a slump. Enter the Houston Texans as they took on the Jaguars Monday night. Jacksonville had plenty of offense against Houston; unfortunately for them, turnovers were to become their undoing as they turned the ball over three times while the Texans’ Steve Slaton ran for 130 yards and 2 scores and defensive end Mario Williams recorded... As the Jaguars approach their pre-season opener, there is still no immediate signing of Derrick Harvey expected.
When camp began, Jack Del Rio admitted that there is a point that an unsigned draft pick starts to lose value to the team. Has Derrick Harvey gotten to that point yet?
Probably not, but you have to wonder where that line in the mind of the Jaguars coaches.
Can Harvey come to camp and make an immediate impact?
“A little bit of it is natural ability,” admitted veteran... Read Full Story
While it’s been a long and tough season for the Jaguars, Sunday at home they finally gave the fans something to be happy about as they topped the equally as struggling Green Bay Packers 20-16. David Garrard finally played somewhat of a good game for the Jags, going 21-for-33 for 238 yards with two TD’s and a QB rating of 105.4. Maurice Jones-Drew scored twice for the Jags, and Garrard threw two scores.
The game came down to a key fourth quarter drive for the Jags, as trailing 16-14 they... Read Full Story
