The Peapod car is Chrysler's newest tiny electric car. Chrysler suspects that the car, unveiled in late 2008, will mostly be used in neighborhoods, since it closely resembles a golf cart. Still, it has some cool features, including an iPod/iPhone dock. But it only has the capacity to run at about 25 miles per hour, with a 30-mile range per batter charge.

An unusual concept presented at the New York Motor Show by unit of Chrysler - Green Eco Mobility (GEM). Peapod minicar electric is designed to travel through the city. Peapod speeds up to 40 km / h. A full charge takes about 6 to 8 hours, the range - about 48 km. The length of the car - 2,85 m, height - 1,7 m, width - 1,7 m. The car is distinguished huge side glass and excellent ventilation. Tesla based out of California is going to unveil their next model of electric car called the MODEL S. You will be able to buy a MODEL S for $49,900 after a $7,500 Federal rebate. Tesla’s older model of electric car sells for $109,000 making the MODEL S more affordable but still out of the price range of most people.
