Nicole Bobek figure skater, Former U.S. figure skating champion Nicole Bobek has been charged with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine in Hudson County, New Jersey. Bobek , who won the women’s U.S. figure skating title in 1995, was arrested last week in Florida and brought to New Jersey to appear in Central Judicial Processing Court via videolink Monday from the Hudson County Jail in Kearny, N.Y. The 31-year-old, who has homes in New York and Jupiter, Fla., is accused of being involved in a northern New Jersey drug ring. Nicole Bobek, 31, a former figure skater has been arrested on felony drug charges. Bobek, who is now thought to be part of a drug ring operation, was charged with possession and intent to sell. Bobek, who is from New Jersey, was charged in Hudson County Florida and made a court appearance Monday. Attorney Sam DeLuca, Bobek’s lawyer has entered a plea of “not guilty”. Bail has been set at $200,000. If convicted Nicole Bobek could face up to years in prison.
