UK inflation under 2% for first time since 2007

LONDON (AFP) -- British 12-month inflation slowed to 1.8 percent in June, dropping under the Bank of England's 2.0-percent target for the first time in almost two years, official data showed Tuesday. BUTNER, N.C., July 14 (UPI) -- Convicted multibillion-dollar swindler Bernard Madoff was transferred Monday to a federal prison in Butner, N.C., to serve his 150-year sentence. The Federal Bureau of Prisons transferred Madoff to the Butner Federal Correctional Complex after he was housed temporarily in an Atlanta facility, The Wall Street Journal reported.
