It was important enough to me to rework the piece, however and so here it is.I will now and forever construct in Word and then paste to Moodle. I wonder how many times I have to learn this before it becomes a habit? The... Read Full Story

It was dark and getting very cold by now, as it always does in Holland in mid-December. I asked the Dutch driver if he would be so kind to indicate to me when he reached my stop. "Yah, of coursh", he said. A dozen stops later, and I was getting worried. I asked the... Read Full Story

Caledonian Academy blog

One of the best and most comprehensive series of reports I have come across about this year's Online Educa Berlin conference can be found at the Caledonian Academy blog. Written by staff at Glasgow Caledonian University , previous contributions have been contributed by the likes of Colin Milligan, Allison Littlejohn, Kathy Trinder and their colleagues. The most recent postings contain some analytical and perhaps even forensic accounts of the parallel sessions, workshops and keynotes at Educa... Read Full Story

Clark N. Quinn: Seven Steps to Better E-learning

Seven Steps to Better E-learning . ‘Too much of e-learning is inadvertently designed to minimize effectiveness. Online courses often fail to engage the learner’s interest and what we know about how people learn isn’t applied, among other problems. Our goals for any such learning initiative, then, should be to sustain that change over time. What follows is a distillation... Read Full Story
