I was remembering that over the weekend as my date cited instance after instance that he deemed “ironic.” The thing is, they weren’t. They were coincidental, or just unlucky. And it drove me nuts! I’m not the type to pick apart an Alanis Morrissette song, but I don’t like it when people use words they don’t understand. How about the idiots in city hall who think that after 60 years of building suburban sprawl will forgo their cars if the city just makes it more inconvenient to drive, even though public transit is totally impractical for most people outside downtown.
