WASHINGTON — As we enter this new year of 2010, here are a few of my pet peeves that I would like to see resolved. My exceptionally nice mother, who will be 89 in a few days and walks with a cane, recently was strip-searched during a journey that began in Dayton, Ohio, and ended in Alaska. Right NickR - Cyclist that slow down cars are huge global warming contributors opposed to all that super-efficient idling to warm up the car in the morning. Seriously, cyclists and drivers both have to show some common sense and courtesy. It's not rocket science.  

How about the idiots in city hall who think that after 60 years of building suburban sprawl will forgo their cars if the city just makes it more inconvenient to drive, even though public transit is totally impractical for most people outside downtown.
