Katie Price and Peter Andre come face to face as she drops off the children at his house

However tough things are between an estranged couple, there comes a time when they will have to see each other again.

For Katie Price and Peter Andre, yesterday was one of those times.

The first picture of the pair together since the break-up shows the glamour model arriving at Peter’s house in Sussex to drop off her children.

With Pete on one side of her Range Rover and Katie on the other, the former couple seem determined to keep a distance.

Onlookers said the atmosphere between them was strained, with Katie looking tense as she waited for Peter to arrive.

Any tension seemed to dissipate later, however, when Peter took the children to the beach.

He looked very much the doting father, cuddling Princess Tiaamii, who celebrated her second birthday that day, and pretending to throw Junior up in the air.

But Katie did her bit for her daughter’s birthday too. Earlier in the day, Katie, 31, was seen at Toys R Us with Junior, four, and Princess.

The toddler apparently had a fruitful day at the toy superstore. Katie’s male friend was seen pushing a trolley laden with shopping bags and a large pink toy car.
