Are the Eight Republicans Who Voted for Cap and Trade Traitors?

From:  jimbyrd.com
“Cap and traitors.” “Traitors.” “Treasonous.” “Turncoats.” “RINOs.” Adjectives abound in describing the eight Republicans who voted for the Waxman-Markey cap and trade bill; the bill passed the House by a razor thin 219-212 vote–a seven vote margin. But is it fair to label them as traitors? Do these eight, who made the passage possible, fit the definition of traitors? Mark Tapscott , Editorial Page Editor of the Washington Examiner, believes that calling the eight Republicans traitors is... Read Full Story

The Democrats Show Their True Faces In Petraeus Hearing

If you were to stamp the modern day Republican party with a face it would be Ronald Reagan– even though his presidency was 20 years ago. There have been two Republican presidents since then, although they campaigned as Republicans, one ended up being middle of the road moderate and the other did an about face and his inner liberal reared its ugly head. If you have followed the Petraeus hearings on Capital Hill the past couple of days, you saw the face of the Democrat party. Since they are... Read Full Story

Sticks and Stones...

Poor Gen. Dave Petraeus. It must be difficult to be a man in his position. On one side he has the perpetrators of the biggest conflict of this generation putting him in charge of said conflict and asking him to give America a warm fuzzy about its progress. On the other side he has a wiser American public, weary and wary of the misinformation, propaganda and all-out deception of a war-hungry administration, futilely grasping and any defense of its poor decisions. MoveOn.org purchased an ad in... Read Full Story

Moveon.org Will Now Pay the Full Price for the New York Times General Betray Us Ad

In a stunning admission of error, the New York Times has admitted that it should not have given moveon.org a substantial price break to run their General Betray Us ad. In a column entitled, “Betraying Its Own Best Interests,” New York Times Public Editor (ombudsman) Clark Hoyt wrote that the newspaper, in running the MoveOn.org ad for the “standby rate” of $64,575, violated its own written standards. “I think the ad violated The Times’s own written standards, and the paper now says... How often I would hear accusation of withcraft and insanity, even though I am OPENLY PAGAN AND OPENLY GAY! How often... Read Full Story

Petraeus Reports, not Petraeus Report

The Carpet Bagger (a political blog) points out that there is no "Petraeus Report' per se...just a report to Congress. Linked from http://www.thecarpetbaggerreport.com/archives/12802.html --- It looks like the political world no longer needs to debate who’s writing next week’s report on the administration’s war policy and conditions in Iraq. ThinkProgress noticed this Washington Times piece that highlighted a minor detail: there is no report. A senior military officer said there will... Read Full Story
