McCain Selects Palin For Veep???

The Gulf of Mexico is such a turbulent cauldron these days—hurricanes bubbling up, and their steam being sucked into the Sonaran Desert, baked—–leading to violent electrical storms and torrential downpours.

Late last night one of everyone’s suckiest things in life happened—power went out. So I was going to head off to a local watering hole, but a wash was streaming down the road from my little cabin in the desert, leaving me alone in the dark with cats and dog.

Anyway, power came back on. Checked the news.

And oh wow—could it be true?

Matt Drudge is hinting that McCain has selected Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his nominee for Vice President.

On CNN they are reporting a mysterious flight from Anchorage, landing at an airstrip near Dayton, Ohio.

I never thought there was any way in God’s name that I would be voting for a Republican this year.

But it looks like I may.

Of course, Air America’s Stephanie Miller is snidely commenting on what a pander this would be and how it won’t wash with the American people, blah blah—that is to be expected from the committed Obamiatics

And she is quoting Hillary Clinton, whose throat they slit, to prove it.

That’s to be expected too.

So what.

Besides, a pander beats a snub.
