Piper Perabo (Getty Images) Piper Perabo definitely made a splash on the red carpet at the 2012 Golden Globe Awards. The actress was wearing a see-through dress, but it wasn't see-through in the way you'd imagine. The dress was a sheer ball gown -- and definitely not as scandalous as it sounds.

The nude number had a giant skirt, which the star held out for the cameras, showing off just how much fabric she was wearing. There was a sexy cutout in the back, but you still couldn't see the star's stems. The front was a tad revealing, but not anything too risque. Still, so far, she definitely is the gal that stands out on the red carpet -- especially with all the funny faces she made as she posed.

Now, the night is far from over. Expect to see many other stars in pretty dresses as the evening progresses. The Golden Globe Awards will kick off at 5pm PT at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills. George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Claire Danes, Juliana Margulies, and more will be there to celebrate one of the year's biggest nights in TV and film. Stay tuned!
