Steady rain postponed Sunday's race and it has been rescheduled for 12:15 p.m. Monday. Heavy rain hit the track Sunday morning. It let up about an hour before the scheduled 2 p.m. start and the sky brightened for driver introductions. The rain returned about 3:30 p.m. and soaked the surface again. NASCAR Sprint Cup points leader Tony Stewart will start from the pole for the Pocono 500 after rain washed out qualifying at Pocono Raceway on Friday. Jeff Gordon will start second in Sunday's 500-mile race, followed by Jimmie Johnson, Kurt Busch and Ryan Newman. NASCAR has been slowly but surely finding ways to give a little back to the environment, with the most recent announcement being to plant at least 20 acres of trees per racetrack every year.
