Poker and Free Online Poker is becoming more popular in today's society, possibly due to both increased internet availabilty and more poker websites being created. If you wish to get ahead of the game and work out when somebody is bluffing then I hope my tips will help you.

Poker first entered in to my world when I used to sit and watch my dad play against his friends around the kitchen table. They would be drinking, smoking, and talking about the jobs, the wives, and the cars. They played 5 card stud, 7 card stud, and draw. I watched my dad constantly get thrashed by his friends and he couldn't figure out why. Then one day, while watching him, it was dawned on me. He would always start tapping his feet when he was trying to bluff. He made it so obvious, and his friends figured this out. When I told him about it, he turned his game around. After that, he began to let me sit in and play at the ripe old age of 13.

I also learned from an early age the main poker tells to look out for when playing other players. The main one I look out for are the eyes of other players, it really bugs me when players wear sunglasses or visors and caps so that I cannot see their expression. Other big ones I have found are facial expressions, anxiety, trembling hands, body posture, chip glancing and repetitive betting patterns.

I always started off small by playing on Free Online Poker Sites and would slowly work my way from the small games in town to the weekly holdem tournament in Boz Henry's barn. Holdem is my favorite as it has more of a technical lure for me. I can take a small stack and play aggressively against the right people and turn it into a decent stake for later on. I find that it only takes one or two decent hands to establish yourself at a table. Many times you get judged within the first ten minutes of a game, and it's critical to my game to not let others push me off a pot.

My main influence for the game is Doyle Brunson. He has made a great reputation as a skilled player, but also as a gentleman at the table. He has won several tournaments and only seems to get better with age. I can only hope to be playing when I get as old as he is. My dream game is to play one hand against him in person. I already know that he would wipe the floor with my poker playing, but you just never know!

Unless you are phsycic there is no way you can tell if somebody is bluffing when playing at Free Online Poker Sites, especially if they are sitting there tapping their feet, twitching their hands and sweating! But, it is worth keeping an eye out for any other signs that they give off while playing, such as being unusually quick to raise a hand.
