According to Wikipedia.org: Poker is a card game, the most popular of a class of games called vying games, in which players with fully or partially concealed cards make wagers into a central pot, which is awarded to the player or players with the best combination of cards or to the player who makes an uncalled bet. Poker can also refer to video poker, a single-player game seen in casinos much like a slot machine, or to other games that use poker hand rankings.
Titan Poker player dives right into WSOP
As a diving instructor Martyn Sands may be used to sharks of the aquatic variety, but he took on sharks of a whole different nature when he headed to Las Vegas for the 2008 World Series of Poker this year courtesy of Titan Poker.
When Sands headed to Las Vegas from his home in Greece, the odds weren’t in his favor that he’d do well in the live tournament. He’s a beginner player who had just started playing online poker in March and landed a seat in the WSOP less than a month after that.
However, Sands proved he could swim with the best of them at the poker tables. According to Titan Poker, Sands was eager to better his game and played up to four hours a day, five times a week with no lose or win limit in sight.
