Police chief Flinchum said that victims were found in 4 different classrooms and in the stairwells of Norris Hall. Ballistic experts also said that the gun used in the shootings at West Johnson Amber Hall earlier in the morning is the same gun used later in the shootings at Norris Hall. Virginia Police Chief Wendell Flinchum is starting an investigattion to see if today's school shootings were related to 2 recent bomb threats. The first bomb threat occured on April 3 inTorgersen Hall. A written note threatened the hall, according to the Roanoke Times.The school canceled classes in the building for the day and sent bomb-sniffing dogs in to check it out. Cho Seung-hui was a 23 year old student at Virginia Tech. He killed more than 30 people during the school shooting yesterday, then took his own life. Cho was an undergraduate student in his senior year at Virginia Tech as an English major. Cho Seung-hui was South Korean, but was a permanent legal resident of the United States. Virginia Tech Police Chief Wendell Flinchum said that one person was killed in the first shooting, which occurred just after 7 a.m. at West Ambler Johnston Hall, a large dormitory. Chief Flinchum also said that at least 20 more people were killed at Norris Hall, an academic building.
