When is it safe to taser a kid? I suspect the answer is never. Imagine this scenario. A mother calls the cops because her ten year old daughter won’t take a shower…. yep, that’s it. The kid won’t take a shower. We don’t know the details but for the sake of argument let’s assume the ten year old girl was screaming and kicking and crying. Ah, more taser fail madness . A Cincinnati police officer is in hot water after he used a taser on woman who was on her knees with her hands in the air. Celeste Thomas was a passenger in an automobile that was involved in an accident when Officer Anthony Plummer decided that her submission to his full authority wasn’t sufficient and proceeded to taser the woman. “A preliminary review shows he is not in compliance with our standards and he is being investigated for unnecessary and excessive use of force,” Police Chief Thomas Streicher said. Police in Wyoming repeatedly tasered a 76-year-old man who was riding on an antique tractor during a local town parade because the tractor accidentally bumped a police vehicle. Bud Grose was tasered repeatedly after his 1958 John Deere tractor accidentally bumped a police car in the annual Deer Creek Days parade on August 1. Here’s the best part…wait for it…Grose was not driving the tractor at the time of the collision. A 9-year-old boy was steering the tractor while Grose operated the clutch and gas pedal. Dr. David Start of the Kent County Medical Examiner's Office says Matthew Bolick died of acute exhaustive mania, which is also known as excited delirium syndrome.
