I really didn't want to touch this with a 10 foot pole but the absurdity of people wanting to keep their kids out of school to avoid hearing a positive message from the leader of the free world is sheer lunacy to me. One author of an associated column article suggests a Republican Party "rebuttal" I guess you'd call it....in other words if President Obama can speak to our children (since he's the leader of the Democratic Party) then Michael Steele should be able to speak to them as well....How can you rebut the importance of setting goals, working hard, and being accountable for their responsibility in their education just as much as parents and educators?????
What this gentleman fails to realize is that not only is Barack Obama the leader of the Democratic Party but the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES! This is insane....I can't even type...please allow one of the readers at Andrew Sullivan|The Daily Dish to sum it up...
