KATRINA FOLEY ENDORSED BY LOCAL NEWSPAPER THE DAILY PILOT
Costa Mesa City Council Member Katrina Foley earned another coveted endorsement yesterday from the Daily Pilot, serving Costa Mesa and Newport Beach through the Los Angeles Times newspaper.
Supporting their endorsement, the Pilot said,
"Foley has earned another term. Some may disagree with her politics, but few would argue that she is not a dedicated civil servant. We are especially impressed with her ubiquitousness — it seems as if she’s cloned herself she appears at so many community events.
She doesn’t just talk a good game about combating graffiti — she’s eager to roll up her sleeves, organize her neighbors and go out and clean it up. And, for example, she led the years-long charge to redevelop the El Camino Plaza, long a boil on her Mesa Del Mar neighborhood.
We could list several other good-government projects she has supported, but suffice to say she is one of this city’s most ardent advocates..."
Foley also has recently been endorsed by seven former mayors, 5 of current school board members, the Costa Mesa Firefighters and the Costa Mesa Police Officers Associations, the Business Industry Association, and the League of Conservation Voters.
Foley has served four years as a council member, and was previously a five-year veteran of the Costa Mesa Planning Commission. She is currently one of 9 candidates running for three seats for the City Council election on November 4, 2008.
