No Blood For Oil

What ever happened to the liberal chants of "no blood for oil"? Where is Viggo Mortenson ruining the lord of the Rings trilogy for me with his "no blood for oil" t-shirts? Or any of the other Hollywood leftists that were beating that drum these days? I suppose if you look hard enough you’ll be able to find some hard core libs with some whacked out conspiracy theories still claiming that President Bush went into Iraq for the sole purpose of providing his "oil buddies" with access to Iraq’s vast oil fields. However, that begs the question; If that were the case, why is the price of oil up so much these days? And more to the point, why has Iraq just reported hat it is essentially flush with cash and will have a huge budget surplus at the end of 2008? (See the full story here.) How can we have gone into Iraq to steal its oil, spent five years, billions of dollars, and thousands of lives to steal said oil and Iraq be keeping the oil AND the money from its sale? What kind of a George Bush is evil and out to kill innocents for filthy profiteering on behalf of his Texas oil capitalist pig buddies master plan is that? Where is the news story going back to those protestors and Hollywood types asking them that follow up question? I haven’t seen it anywhere. Have you?
