My good friend is expecting. In the course of a normal day this would be tremendous news but in this situation it is brilliant. My friend is expecting a litter of Bergamasco puppies...how do we know? The confirmation of the blessed event came from an ultrasound. If you do not know what a Bergamasco is check out the picture. They are the perfect family dog and are hypoallergenic. Great news for mothers who are tired of chasing dust bunnies, hair balls and dander. My best wishes for a safe and healthy delivery of these puppies ...I have signed on to be the midwoof, if ... The term, pork is sometimes used to describe legislative appropriations meant to favor specific projects, to gain favor, or repay political debts for legislators. Occasionally, I got to leave the house and take in a movie with my church friends. We called it "Youth Group" because it technically counted as CCD because we were ... Read Full Story

Today's post is about a tool that is as much of a time-saver as it is a flavor-saver. It's called a Chimney Starter. A chimney starter is used to start your coals, and makes perfect embers without fail. It starts coals fast, without the need of any starter fluid. All it takes is a few pieces of newspaper, your coals and a match. A chimney starter is essential for cooking something that takes a few hours. When you need to replace your coals, there's no need to add cold coals to the embers, so you won't lose heat. It's also great for Dutch Oven ... Read Full Story

The classic pork chops and applesauce go sophisticated with this recipe. Instead of bone-in pork chops and pureed apples, it employs boneless pork loin and whole Granny Smith apples. The apples are sautéed until soft and the pork is topped with a simple pan sauce. Although the ingredient list calls for grainy mustard, if you dislike the polarizing condiment, simply omit it. Serve with a glass of white wine and you've got an elegant meal to...
