Princess Chunk's Hidden Junk

It turns out Princess Chunk , the loveable 44-pound cat that has captured the hearts of a nation, is not a princess after all. The cat, who was found wandering a parking lot in Voorhees, New Jersey last Saturday, apparently had some male junk, understandably hidden by all his fat.

The cat was outed, in a most embarrassing fashion, on national television today. He appeared on Live with Regis and Kelly with his current foster mother, Deborah Wright. Wright said she wasn't sure of the cat's gender, but had taken to calling it Princess Chunk, after the Camden County Animal Shelter decided the cat was a girl.

An on-set vet cleared up the confusion, examining the large cat on live television, and concluding the cat was in fact, a boy. It seems the excessive amount of fat on Prince Chunk hid what tiny manliness he had.

The owner of the cat also came forward today, identifying the cat, but also saying she could no longer keep him. Shelter director Jennifer Anderch announced today that an older woman was the cat's owner, and that she is unable to care for the cat because she recently lost her home to foreclosure. She also said the cat's name was Powder.

Powder's owner said she was unable to find a home for him, and gave the cat to some close friends who promised to take the cat to a shelter. She said she was surprised to see the cat on TV, homeless.

Since the woman is unable to keep the cat, Powder will go up for adoption. Anderch said 20 applications have already been filled out, and the shelter has received calls from all over the nation about Powder.

Anderch said the cat will be tested for a thyroid condition, then adopted out to a good home.
