It’s week 4 of Project Runway, and the thirteen remaining designers have a unique challenge: to create a signature red dress for Campbell’s “Address Your Heart” fashion week gala. Their models are real women who have been affected by heart disease; the fact that they are real women rather than size 0 models makes the challenge even tougher, since the designers will have to create peices that flatter the models’ curves. Seth calls this the largest challenge he’s ever face. The models are very excited for the opportunity to walk down the runway in the contestants’ creations, and each one seems to have a ... After last week’s decision to give Ping a second shot, the judges have finally decided that they have seen enough. From the morning of this week’s challenge to when it was the time for the final designs to go down the runway, Ping Wu was a mess: forgetting to put on her shoes, losing her sketchbook, and screaming at her challenge teammate. For this week’s challenge, the designers go to the Metropolitan Museum of art for ... Read Full Story

Filed under: Fashion , News Anthony Williams making soup work. Photo: MyLifetime.com Last night's episode of " Project Runway " was heart-warming. The designers' clients were all women who have been profoundly affected by cardiovascular disease. These vibrant ladies have experienced heart attacks, transplants and pacemakers, all at relatively young ages. They deserve a great dress. Some, but not all, will get them. The Challenge: The designers are instructed by design mentor Tim Gunn to create a formal red dress that the women, all heart disease survivors, can wear to a charity function during New York Fashion Week. Since Campbell's Soup is a sponsor ... Read Full Story

This week’s challenge revolves around the old saying, “a beautiful woman can look good in anything- even a potato sack”. While some of the designers are hoping that it will involve doing something cool around the city, they end up taking a field trip to a farm, where they find each of their models clad in just that: a burlap potato sack. Since the theme this week based on the old adage, it seems fitting that the fabric to be used is burlap, which Emilio describes as being “as old as Mozes”. Another thing that is unique about this challenge is that each model ... Read Full Story

Last week we witnessed one of the most trying challenges in Project Runway history, which usually means seeing the designers work in teams.  It really seems difficult to get over that, especially when you've had to endure verbal abuse from your competition.  Worse, even the models aren't on your side. The circumstances she got stuck in shouldn't have mattered to the eliminated designer Ping Wu.  Despite her best efforts, the Chinese-born...
