After an endless legal battle kept season 6 in limbo for nearly a year, Project Runway will finally return with a new network, a new city, and new twists (including a spin-off). Project Runway will premeire August 20 on Lifetime. This week's Entertainment Weekly speaks with Gunn and Klum about the new season. Dunh dunh DUNNNNHHHHHH! With everybody up for elimination, the designers are instructed by Heidi to return home and create a bridal gown that fits into and defines their final collections . Naturally there was a twist, so once the designers were back at Parsons they had to create a corresponding bridesmaid dress. The designers were predictably thrilled to see Tim Gunn during his requisite home visits, offering either gentle suggestions or grim caveats. This will be a fairly brief post, as I previously posted the final collections , and also, the gist of the recap is LEANNE WINS! I loved her final collection, and while I think Korto and Kenley acquitted themselves admirably on the runway (at least design-wise, cough cough, Kenley), Leanne’s collection was pretty head and shoulders above anything else (maybe it was my imagination, but it seemed like Leanne and her collection pulled in the most applause as well as awed audience facial reactions).
