According to Wikipedia.org: The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, also Porto Rico and more commonly Puerto Rico, is a United States territory with Commonwealth status located in the northeastern Caribbean, east of the Dominican Republic and west of the Virgin Islands. The archipelago of Puerto Rico includes the main island of Puerto Rico, the smallest of the Greater Antilles, and a number of smaller islands and keys, the largest of which are Mona, Vieques, and Culebra. Puerto Ricans sometimes refer to their country as Boriken, or the Spanish variant Borínquen, a name for the island used by indigenous Taino people.
Carmelo Anthony was pleasantly surprised to find himself on Hispanic Business magazine’s list of 100 most influential Hispanics. Not only because he isn’t particularly influential, but because he didn’t realize that people were aware of his Puerto Rican background.

I sit in my hotel room tonight, looking out my huge window towards the harbor of Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria, Spain. The light is so bright, it looks almost white in the photographs I've taken. And there's something almost *too* much about being here. This town was constructed 20-30 years ago with the sole purpose of tourism. The steep cliffs are covered with bright white hotels and the harbor is lined with touristy restaurants and a few souvenir shops.
