There was good and bad news that concerned the Connecticut Huskies. First the bad: the team is being investigated for alleged NCAA recruting violations, according to a Yahoo! Sports report. Welcome to Week 1 of 1 Team 1 Season. Last Saturday the college football world kicked off its season. That evening the Purdue Boilermakers kicked off their season at the Toledo Rockets. Last week Purdue played Central Michigan in a game that I predicted would bring a 40 point margin of victory to the Boilermakers. I regret to report that the victory was only 23 points. I guess the excitement of the first two games got into me and I exaggerated my estimate. Curtis Painter had yet another outstanding performance and only proved his stock was rising.
