Intel plans to ship quad-core processors in November 06 for servers and gaming PCs. Multiple vendors have plans to sell quad-core-based PCs for the high-end gaming market, including Dell and its Alienware division, Gateway, Velocity Micro, and Voodoo.
Extra cores in a chip allows the PC to split up heavy workloads.
Well, the Apple Store went down, and we waited with bated breath. And most of what people expected to see came true. One of those expectations was new iMacs, and Apple’s all-in-one desktops did indeed get a nice upgrade and redesign. That means you’re old hat, iMac which I’m typing this up on right now.
