In a ceremony today at Quebec City's National Assembly, McGill astrophysicist Victoria Kaspi will receive the 2009 Prix Marie-Victorin for her groundbreaking research involving neutron stars, pulsars, and other volatile outer space objects.
The Prix Marie-Victorin for natural sciences and engineering is one of 11 prizes conferred annually at the Prix du Québec awards, which celebrate individuals for their contributions to culture or science.
