R. Glenn Hubbard is Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers. According to whitehouse.gov: R. Glenn Hubbard is on a leave of absence from Columbia University, where he is the Russell L. Carson Professor of Economics and Finance and Co-Director of the Entrepreneurship Program in the Graduate School of Business and Professor of Economics in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. He served as Deputy Assistant Secretary at the U.S. Department of the Treasury from 1991 until 1993. R. Glenn also served as the Director of the Program on Tax Policy at the American Enterprise Institute in Washington, D. C. He is a graduate of the University of Central Florida and received his Master's degree and Ph.D. from Harvard University.
