The R.Kelly trial verdict is in and soul singer Robert Kelly has been acquitted of child pornography charges. There were some tough times for R.Kelly during the trial including when jurors had to watch the entire sextape video in the courtroom. His former protege Sparkle testified and identified R.Kelly as the man in the infamous sextape video.

After just a few days and 12 witnesses, the defense rested it’s case Monday in the [[R. Kelly]] trial.
Kelly’s defense team called three relatives of the alleged victim who testified that they did not recognize the female who appears in a sex tape at the center of the case before closing out testimony.

CHICAGO (Reuters) - A jury acquitted R&B; star R. Kelly of child pornography charges on Friday, finding he did not make an explicit videotape showing him having sex with an underage girl who called him "godfather."
The 41-year-old Kelly, whose given name is Robert, could have faced a sentence of up to 15 years in prison on 14 counts of child pornography.
The eight-man, four-woman jury deliberated about six hours over two days before delivering the not guilty verdict on all counts.
